Our project Coordinator, Prof. Christophe Craeye has been invited by the European Innovation Council (EIC) and the EuroTech Universities Alliance to participate in an « innovative materials » pitch session, held at the European commission in Brussels on 15th of october 2024.

With Prof. Raskin from Université Catholique de Louvain and Dr. Wane from eV-Technologies, Prof. Craeye showcased  the focus point of FITNESS, to develop a conformal and even flexible metasurface, realizing a novelsense of touch with non-direct contact. Those innovative solutions brought to life by FITNESS, and it’s future application in the field of advanced healthcare were presented to investors, industry leaders and coordinators of similar projects, such as PROGENY, who works on the use of ultrasound for the production of special polymers.

Engaging synergies with projects in the same field helps to enhance communication and sharing best practices, which in return accelerates innovation. This point of importance was underlined by Prof. Raskin in his plenary speech on “sustainable electronics”, during which he indicated the value of creating synergies between science, research and other fields such as economy and sociology.
